One of the things that made working at Stein Robaire Helm so educational was that everybody did everything. We had to. None of the clients had cush budgets. So I learned to pitch business, manage production, and develop media strategies.
That’s me in the Moses billboard. The forehead, leaning to the left. The photographer’s assistant came up to my partner Kevin after the shoot and said, “You know how sometimes you see somebody and you just know they’re going to make it?”
“Yeah,” said Kevin.
“That extra over there? Man, he’s got that in spades.” She was talking about me.
Kevin replied, “You’re right. I bet by tomorrow, he’ll be running this account at the ad agency.”
