Most of the time I’m hired by ad agencies it’s to help bring in new business.
I’ve pitched everything from toys to toothbrushes, airlines to wool. I love it. And I like to think I’m pretty good at it.
A lot of the ad agencies I work for seem to agree.
After helping out on a few pitches, one agency in New York sent my partner and me to Miami to pitch a $65 million dollar account. Alone. As we were introducing ourselves, the client casually asked how long we’d been with the agency.
I gave my most thoughtful look, being careful to count to five in my head, and then replied, “You wouldn’t believe how long I’ve been working there.”
